WHEELING, W.Va. – The United Way off the Upper Ohio Valley is looking forward to a sweet summer as its Celebrity Scoopers event returns on the road.
The event began in 2021at Kirke’s Homemade Ice Cream as a fun way to pit local celebrities against each other in a fun competition to see who was able to raise the most money in tips for the United Way.
In 2025, we took Celebrity Scoopers on the road, visiting multiple counties and ice cream shops along the way. This year we are pleased to announce that we’ll be back in five locations in four of the counties we serve.

Barnesville – Thursday, June 4 | Fun in the ‘Ville | Serving Kirke’s Homemade Ice Cream | 4-7 p.m.
New Martinsville – Friday, June 19 | Stalder Family Creamery | 6-8 p.m.
Wheeling – Wednesday, June 24 | Dupe’s Scoops | 12-3 p.m.
Moundsville – Friday, June 26 | Flurry’s Ice Cream and Sweets | 12-3 p.m.
St. Clairsville – Wednesday, July 15 | Kirke’s Homemade Ice Cream | 12-3 p.m.
St. Clairsville – Thursday, July 16 | Kirke’s Homemade Ice Cream | 12-3 p.m.
St. Clairsville – Friday, July 17 | Kirke’s Homemade Ice Cream | 12-3 p.m.
