Way through your annual workplace campaign, a direct contribution to the
United Way office using Visa or Mastercard by calling the United Way or
remembering United Way in your estate planning. You may also volunteer
your time to help at a local agency or serve on a committee or campaign
team. Another way to help is to organize a fundraiser, such as a car wash,
with the proceeds going to the United Way.
Where your money
goes
Here in the Upper
Ohio Valley the United Way raises $785,000 annually. Of each dollar you
give, 85 cents helps people in need. The Better Business Bureau's Philanthropic
Advisory Service report that overheads between 35 and 50 cents acceptable
for charities. Ours is only 15 cents.
